Our Story
It all started with a spark of imagination and a passion for creativity. Our founder, Jane Smith, dreamed up the idea for Real Littles® while playing with her young niece. Jane wanted to design a special backpack as a gift and made a tiny version that her niece could wear like a real backpack. The little girl absolutely loved having her own mini backpack and carried it everywhere.
Seeing how much joy that small act of crafting brought, Jane was inspired to create an entire line of miniature backpacks and accessories. She teamed up with her lifelong friend Emma Jones, who shared her love of arts and crafts. Together, they spent months researching, designing, and testing out different backpacks, lockers, journals, and micro crafts.
After many late nights playing with fabric swatches and mini notebooks, Real Littles® was born in 2015. We started off small, selling at local craft fairs and children’s boutiques. As word spread about our imaginative products, we graduated to our own online store and grew our product line.
Today, Real Littles® delights children across the world with our innovative miniatures that inspire creativity and roleplaying. We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings, but our passion for bringing joy through play remains at the heart of everything we do.

Our collection includes:
- Backpacks – We offer a wide selection of backpacks in colorful designs and cute themes. Mini elefunts, dinosaurs, unicorns, llamas, butterflies – we have tiny backpacks for every interest! They come packed with realistic miniature school supplies or surprises inside.
- Lockers – Our mini locker playsets allow kids to roleplay school days. The lockers open up to reveal teeny textbooks, notepads, magnets, and more.
- Journals – From dream journals to food diaries, our micro notebooks inspire creative writing. They come with mini gel pens and stickers for decorating pages.
- Micro Crafts – Build a micro world with our teeny DIY craft kits! We have miniature clay kits, felt crafts, bead art, and more.
Our products provide screen-free fun that stimulates imaginations. Kids can wear their tiny backpacks on real adventures or roleplay school days with the lockers. Journals encourage writing skills, while micro crafts develop fine motor skills. Playing sparks creativity, connection, and confidence.

Our Design Process
While our products may be tiny, we put big care into our design process. Our talented in-house designers carefully craft each item with lots of love and attention to detail.
It starts with exploring concepts and trends that appeal to kids. We research current interests like unicorns or mermaids and brainstorm ways to transform these into miniature accessories. Sketching brings the ideas to life on paper.
Next, we select premium fabrics in lively colors and prints. We want beautiful textures and colors that pop! We meticulously source only quality materials from ethical vendors.
Our stitching and sewing is done by hand to ensure precision and durability. Each item is carefully put together and inspected. We even add special touches like rainbow tassels or puffy pom poms!
The finishing touches really make our products shine. This includes packaging each item in our signature gift boxes. We take pride in delivering littles that are just as adorable on the outside as they are playful on the inside.

We partner with local schools and nonprofit youth programs to donate art supplies and micro craft kits. Providing creative outlets for all kids, especially those with limited resources, is our passion.
We also support organizations like the Tiny Hands Foundation that help street children worldwide through education, nutrition, and empowerment programs.
